Dear Santa, this is what I want for............

Yes, This is for real and I want one.  Everyone has always mentioned a "Booze Cruise" and now you can have blended drinks.  How cool.  I saw this on eBay and it was firm at around $1,800.00.  Too much for my blood but if my family wants to chip in together, that will be ok with me.  For the skipper who has everything.  Well, I guess I'll stick to beer for now, maybe Santa will read my blog.  Looks like rain this weekend so I'll be staying in port.

Annnual Blessing of the Shrimp Fleet Celebration

Wow, what a weekend.  The annual “Blessing of the Shrimp Fleet”, Cinco de Mayo and Beer Fest, all this past weekend in Clear Lake.  It turned out to be a pretty good weekend.  Oh yeah, I forgot, the “Wheels and Keels” show at Lakewood Yacht Club.  Over 300 antique cars and boats on display.  I had to work Saturday and Jan was shopping for shoes.  Her son is getting married next weekend and you would think it was for her wedding.  We got down to the marina about 4pm Saturday and I didn’t want to go fight the crowds anywhere so we just kicked back on Knot Enuff and fired up the grill.  Our marina is located at the Kemah Boardwalk, behind the restaurants, so many of the decorated boats passed us while turning around in the large basin area of the marina.  We woke up Sunday, (Cinco de Mayo) and ate breakfast at the Cadillac Bar restaurant; in celebration of Cinco de Mayo (we look for any excuse to drink a margarita at 8am).  The rest of Sunday was spent tinkering around on our boat.  Way too many small weekend boaters on the water to fight them.  In two weekends, is the TMCA, “Spring Fling” event.  Hope some of you will make it there.

Usually it's the other way around, the BEAST chasing us.

Meet my Knot-Enuff site designer

Our Blog design was created by one of the most talented fashion designers I know. A student at the University of Texas, Angela spends most of her free time designing clothing, jewelry and web pages. Angela has always displayed her creative side in her love of music, playing piano, guitar and a host of other instruments. Now concentrating on fashion. You can see some of her work and talent in this blog site and a link to her own, “texas chic”,on this site. With much love and thanks to Angela for all of her help and patience with this old sailor. Oh yea, did I tell you she is my wonderful daughter.

Knot Enuff Florida...

Here we are at the keys..(Knot-Yet)
it was a long journey, and this will be Jan and John's first destination.

I spent a lot of time in the Florida Keys, growing up in Hollywood.  My teen years were spent diving around Duck Key and my adult years diving around Sloppy Joes Bar in Key West.
